An Attempt at Systematization of Rhetoric Traditions in the South-Slavonic Calendar Collections (On the Basis of the Contents of the Balkan Triodion Panegyrika)

Summary/Abstract: The article presents preliminary results from the work on the Bibliotheca Homiletica Balcano-Slavica (BHomBS) reference book, which continues the systematization of the primary sources reflected in BHBS (2008). The composition principles adopted in BHomBS are specified: all types of Triodion Panegyrika from the 11th to the 17th cc. that the authors are familiar with have been considered; their contents have been systematized according to the order of the movable feasts of the church repertory; some terminological specifications have been made in order to clarify the classification of the material. The differences between the old redaction and the new redaction Triodion Panegyrika are described. Concrete examples of the particularities of certain texts which would require further work in the systematization process, are given. The principles of the composition of the catalogue of the used manuscripts are presented.
