Summary/Abstract: The author presents a shaft-hole axe discovered by chance in the area of Roşiorii de Vede (Teleorman County). Several typological characteristics confirm it is part of the Pădureni-type series. The best analogies can be found south of the Danube within a group of typologically similar axes. In the absence of relevant contexts, their dating is rather problematic. Based on discoveries such as M.208 from Mokrin (Serbia) or from Yunatsite (Bulgaria), these axes can be dated in a chronological interval spanning the second half of the 3rd millennium BC and the first two centuries of the 2nd millennium BC.
