Summary/Abstract: At the site of Măgura ‘Buduiasca’, in the area ‘Boldul lui Moş Ivănuş’, archaeological excavations revealed various archaeological features (waste areas, pits and dwellings) attributed to the Starčevo-Criş I culture. This study considered three of the excavated pits with important faunal remains. We tried to correlate the archaeological records with the archaeozoological data to verify the chronological framework. Based on the densities of faunal remains from different layers the dynamics of the use of these pit features was also observed. The data obtained allowed understanding of the seasonal management of food of animal origin and the relationship between the abundance or accessibility of particular environmental resources at a certain time and, perhaps, even the way of managing the habitation area.
