Summary/Abstract: Association among all sectors and social stakeholders for a better communication, coordination and action for improvement of health and well-being of all and each individual in the community is a strategic goal of the work of the Local Self-Government. Shared efforts for constant investment in improvement of health and well-being are stressed as a requirement for social development with the main focus being the people as well as the key role of the local community and intersectoral cooperation at all levels. The interest of the Local Self-Government in intersectoral cooperation and cross-municipal networking for public health is confirmed by the fact that the Municipality of Veles was a host of the “Together for Health for Everyone by 2020 – Strengthening Intersectoral Cooperation at a Local Level for Health and Well-being” workshop on 19-21 September 2016, organized by the Ministry of Health and supported by the World Health Organization. Efforts toward better health of all citizens are manifested and realized by several self-government sectors in: health and social protection, environment, education, urbanism, crisis management, economy, business, civil sector etc. Intersectoral cooperation for health and well-being at a local level is an effort that should serve as an incentive, but also as commitment to health for everyone, from all sectors of the Government, the local self-government and the entire society. GOOD HEALTH – A COMMON GOOD!
