Summary/Abstract: Fooling around with atoms, opening the door to new technologies and applications that appeared to be impossible in previous eras and covering a wide range of fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, computer, material science, electronics and medicine, nanotechnology emerged as the new discovery of the present era in which science has changed dimensions. Both states and companies strive to possess it through the R&D investments that they perform in order to control the market, maximize their value and profits, and gain economic and political power. Therefore, the current study addresses an extremely significant subject: nanotechnology investments. In this context, it is understood that manufacturing costs decrease, product endurances and qualities increase, energy and time saving become possible and with improving product characteristics, both lifespan and human welfare level are increased one step further thanks to these investments. The Traditional Investment Model which expresses the normal course of investments for those entrepreneurs who want to utilize these investments; the Institutional Investment Model which brings together savers for enabling an institutional structure to utilize these resources in the manufacturing of a technological product; the Venture-Capital Trust Model whereby VCT companies step in to resolve any financing problems experienced in the manufacturing of a nanotechnological product; the Business Angels Model which refers to the support of persons who invest in a new business opportunity and provide capital for the growth or development of businesses; and the State-Funded Investment Model as a model which can be applied by those entrepreneurs who plan to launch a nanotechnological product idea by utilizing supports provided by a state are discussed in the paper.
