Summary/Abstract: With the transition to Chalcolithic Age, mining had gained significant improvements in Anatolia especially in the Eastern Anatolia Region. In that age, commercial and cultural relations among regions of Anatolia were increased depending on the developments in the field of mining. Wealthy local elite groups began to emerge as a result of intensification of trade relations among region The production of metal weapons for those elite groups that began to emerge from Chalcolithic Age had been increased. A serious slide toward specialization in metal production can be seen after that age. Forinstance, In the studies operated in Arslantepe settlement, it was seen that making arsenic by mixing appropriate amount of copper not only hardened the copper but also increased the resistance of it. Also, one of the issues related to mining activities in residential areas in the Eastern Anatolia Regionis that metal melting process was carried out in those residential areas.
