Summary/Abstract: This article presents the use of foreign languages in Bulgarian statutory texts. Bulgarian law regulates the usage, knowledge, prohibition or obligation to use foreign languages in different spheres of public life. Legal stipulations concerning foreign languages are classified as obligation, prohibition, restriction, promotion and construal.
