Summary/Abstract: The best way to protect the Turkish Culture is to live with it, thus the culture will be pass on to future generations accurately. In Anatolian culture every district has its own beliefs and cultural applications. The tradition of birth and circumcision bed in Kutahya city as a part of the Anatolian culture is prepared for both girls and boys. While birth bad tradition symbolizes power, solidarity, multiplication and it also aims to inform their relatives about birth; the circumcision bed is implemented for both to fulfill a religious necessity and to celebrate this period with their relatives. In Kutahya city birth and circumcision bed is ornamented with different color of embroideries, which are kept in dowry chests, such as beddings, tablecloths, bohcas, bed sheets, cotskirts, and tablecloths. In this research, birth and circumcision bed tradition which is implemented in Kutahya nowadays and also hand craft examples which are used to ornament bed will be introduced.
