Summary/Abstract: To write about everyday life becomes a characteristic of the contemporary literature. The Quebecer literature is not an exception. By looking at the literary output of the last few years, we are proposing to study François Blais’ last novel, Sam, published in 2014. In the most of his texts, the novelist is pleased to write about the ordinary life and to introduce day-to-day reality in the text is a challenge, which impacts significantly our perception about the narrative.
