Summary/Abstract: Which has a very rich culture throughout history, came to the forefront of in Turkey, leather art, which emerged in the early ages with the need of covering and sheltering in order to resist the natural conditions of the people. Leather workmanship in Turks has shown a great improvement. Moreover, they have exhibited qualified works bearing cultural and artistic value in every area in history. In the past, leather art made with unique qualities continues to be made as a reflection of our culture with its aesthetic appeal. In recent years, the production of leather goods with ornaments has become increasingly important and attracts great interest due to the availability of leather products, softness and easy shape, usability, and the ability to be a natural material. In the past and today, they have developed various surface decoration techniques in leather art. One of these techniques is an application. In this study; to give information about the applique technique in Turkish leather art reflecting our traditions and leather products made with this technique; to examine and introduce the techniques, patterns, colors, composition properties and usage areas used.
