Summary/Abstract: In this paper we handle the forms that express the expectation in the albanian language. Such forms as: can learn, have to learn, will to learn, would have learned, let to learn, have to learn, in traditional grammatical concepts mainly are categorized as verbal forms of modal value (Grammar I 2002, Beci 2010, Demiraj 2015). While, in contemporary language studies there is a lot of discussion about these forms, whether they are grammatical with in the verbal modes, or are merely modal forms associated with the expectant or irrealis (Breu 2010, Huddleston and Pullum 2005, Rugova 2015). Based on this theoretical basis, this modal and modal categorization of these forms in the albanian language will be reviewed.Theoretically, this paper is based on some of the traditional and contemporary grammar as well as some works and studies that have dealt with these verbal forms. Since the paper belongs to the research nature, we have created a research corpus, consisting of different text categories, based on which we will draw the results of the research. So apart from the theoretical part, the paper also contains the research part.
