The rules of bearing the trial costs by and awarding trial costs to the aggrieved party in preparatory proceedings and first instance proceedings

Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to systematize the rules of awarding the trial costs to the aggrieved party and bearing such costs by the party. The costs related to the preparatory and first-instance proceedings are discussed in detail. The author makes a distinction according to whether the court proceedings were initiated by the aggrieved party or by the prosecutor’s office. The article also deals with the costs of the victim’s legal representative.
