Criminal liability of legal persons in the Slovak Republic

Summary/Abstract: The model of the so-called genuine criminal liability of legal persons was selected for a number of reasons, including inter alia implementation of committments resulting particularly from harmonization of EU legislation as well as for the purpose of introducing a more efficient sanctioning of legal persons committing crimes. To render criminal liability against a legal person effectively, it is vital that both the law enforcement authorities and courts make the model their own.
