Summary/Abstract: K ostołowski constructed the ‘pyramid of drawing’ at the bottom of which, there is applied drawing, and at the top of it, there is artistic drawing. In the middle, there is unselfish drawing and border drawing (between unselfish and artistic). Unselfish drawing includes drawings without final goal (for example, non-artistic graffiti and conference drawing). Border drawing includes spontaneous drawings, which might partly be considered as artistic drawings (drawing by children, satirical drawings). TrTr a ditionally, drawings were considered as preliminary sketches, and in modern art, drawings are autonomous art pieces. Contemporary drawings are often used as elements of installations and multimedial projects. Also, drawing is considered as principal medium. Contemporary drawing artists are inspired by all categories of drawing shown in the form of pyramid.
