Summary/Abstract: People from Polish belong to nations very strongly embedded in migration processes. Migrations from Polish lands have been known for a long time. However, there is a difference between past and present migrations. What makes them the most different is the categories of people who migrate because of their gender. Once only men were migrating, while the dominant group is women. Due to their unprecedented number, the term “feminisation of migration” has been introduced. It symbolizes the migration of the late twentieth and early twenty-first century. Migration of women impresses its mark on the family and society. One of the most severe effects is the deficit of care services in the country of migrant women. The deficit covers both children and older family members, especially parents. The article draws attention to the phenomenon of feminization of migration, changes over the years and effects.
