Summary/Abstract: One of the innovative solutions aimed at enhancing innovation in the learning region was the project called “SPIN – Innovation Transfer Model in Malopolska” (SPIN) in Małopolska in the years 2012–2015 under the Human Capital Operational Program. The SPIN model is an organizational innovation designed for three categories of customers: academics, entrepreneurs and regional authorities (as well as other categories of knowledge transfer recipients, including local government units). The model has been conceived as an adequate tool to stimulate innovation in the learning region of the Malopolska Region. The subject of the analysis is the answer to the question how the activities of self-government administration conducted comprehensively with the prepared scenario of work, precisely defined list of beneficiaries and stakeholders contribute to stimulate regional innovation. The paper was financed from the funds allocated to the Faculty of Management at the Cracow University of Economics, as part of a grant to support research capacity.
