ARTISTIC WAYS of APPROACHING THE NARRATIVE AND SYMBOL IN THE MOLDOVAN BOOK GRAPHICS of THE 1970S-1980S PERIOD

Summary/Abstract: In the 1970s, new trends will be seen in book graphics: emphasis on individuality and freedom of artistic expression, renewal of plastic means, use of new materials. As a consequence, there will appear a decorative and austere tendency of elaborating the images, the synthesis of styles and new aestethetics of the conventional contrary to the Soviet style and official ideology. Among the trends of searching for new ways in art there has been the use of mixed techniques, a combination of various materials, sometimes even not specific to the genre of graphics. These changes have enriched the semantics and emotional part of the works
