Summary/Abstract: The study aims to conduct in-depth qualitative analysis of „the psychology of pilgrimage‟ based on personal perceptions of pilgrims of British Turkish Diaspora who experienced the sacred space. This paper is organized into two separate articles due to the broad and complex data. Qualitative methodology is utilized within the context of this research design through a case study on the psychology of pilgrimage. In the implementation phase of this research, a special training program, entitled „Understanding the Pilgrimage: Psychological Approaches‟ has been presented periodically to participants in Saudi Arabia. In the end of the program, ‘Open-Ended Questions Form on Psychology of Pilgrimage’ has been used as a data collection tool. A content analysis method, which is a composition of basic undistinguished themes and subthemes has been engaged in order to analyse qualitative data, obtained from 27 participants in British pilgrimage group in 2011. In this context, the findings based on „[a]-Personal Dimension-(Psychological)=Personal perceptions of the practice of pilgrimage with psycho-theological content‟ are taken into account in the first article.
