Summary/Abstract: Undoubtedly, “dialectic methodology”, which has came into existence from the internal dynamics of Islamic thought, contrary to the common assumption, has provided Islamic scholars and thinkers especially the Islamic theologians with great openings and facilities to understand and interpret Islamic texts. Thus, “jadal methodology”, which provides Islamic theologians with very significant opportunities and facilities in the course of the development of Islamic thought to establish firmly or reason some religious and philosophical thoughts and approaches they have accepted or have adopted. In other words, they have benefited today to a large extent from the methodology under some particular conditions in understanding and interpreting the religious Nasses even in the modern period. This study aims to cover the topic of “dialectic methodology” trying to clarify in a sense the methodological problem Islamic researchers have currently encountered by introducing the methodology used in the Middle Ages and further the basic arguments and grounds of this methodological approach.
