Interpretation of Geographical Parameters and Their Role in Spatial Research

Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of the research is to reveal through foreign academic publications if geographical parameters have a role in spatial research applying mathematical-statistical methodologies. Firstly it is necessary to determine the concept of geographical parameter as well as to characterize each types of geographical parameters. Consequently 150 articles have been classified which use geographical parameters in mathematical-statistical research. Our analysis is based on four main aspects: their subject, the type of geographical parameter and mathematical-statistical methodology used, as well as whether spatial aspects have any role in the phenomenon.
