Summary/Abstract: Using the neuroscience theory of narration, the autobiography of W. Szpilman, its Polish editions and translations were analyzed. Into consideration were taken: vocabulary, composition, edition. It was found that the prototype was subjected to the policy of modelling social ties. In post-war Poland, it was Polish-Soviet friendship. English, German and Catalan texts were aligned with the conceptual ideas of the Western Europe population, distorting the relations between Poles, Jews and Germans. The new organization of narrative sequences results in recategorization of memory traces, the creation of unauthorised associations and generalizations.
