Christianity and neoplatonism: influences and contradictions

Summary/Abstract: From aphilosophical stand point we are used to accept the influence of (neoplatonic) philosophyupon the christian thinkers and thought. I find it necessary to explore the inevitablebut subtle influence of christian thought and concepts upon the neoplatonic philosophy.My intuition, which I merely state in this study, is that we can observe the primary,vital influence emitting from the christian thought and the formal, theoretical influencecoming from the neoplatonic philosophy. I find this a rich field of study for a morerefined and complete understanding of the ongoing dialogue between philosophy antheology of that particular era and, maybe, of today.
