Immigration to Poland in the light of the Act of December 12, 2013 on foreigners

Summary/Abstract: The subject of this study is the analysis of the Act on foreigners from 2013 as the latest legal document regarding immigration to Poland. The Act clearly sets out the rules and conditions for entry of migrants, their stay in Poland, transit and departure from it, as well as the procedure and competent authorities in these matters. Thus, it reflects the essence and specifics of the migration policy undertaken by the Polish government. The most important issues are the consequences of changes in the areas of permanent and temporary residence, work and study as well as amendments. The aim of the study is to present not only the provisions of the Act referring to foreigners, but also its implementation on the formal and pragmatic level.
