Summary/Abstract: Purpose – In this study; It is aimed to emphasize the importance of recreation activities organized for employees and to reveal the relationship between the recreation activities and the silence status of the employees. Design/methodology/approach – For the purpose; Demographic characteristics, recreation expressions and organizational silence scale were used in the questionnaire. The results of the relationship between employee silence and recreation activities were determined and reflected in the tables. Findings – 388 employees participated in the study. As a result, the relationship between the organizational silence and recreational activities of the participants was reflected to the study considering their demographic characteristics. Discussion – Silence behaviors vary depending on the participation of employees in recreational activities. In order to ensure that the employees are motivated, determined and open to innovation, their motivation is increased through recreation activities and they are not allowed to show silence. Low participation of employees in recreational activities causes employees to choose to remain silent for various reasons.
