Summary/Abstract: The ecclesial art establishes the icon to be the presence of the sky among people and it is based on the dogma of the Embodiment. The presence of the icon has resided since eternity entend history and is the display of the beauty of Light coming to us. The history of salvation presented iconographically in the location of the cult is alive and existent mostly during the service, indicating victory through suffering, the way taken in order to imitate Christic life which has as finality the Resurrection. In this article we can find some ideas about the symbolism of the ecclesial orthodox iconography and the meaning of the pictural arts in this domaine. The icon represents the truth of revelating God who made His entrance in the human history for accomplishment of the theandric body who finally realise his salvation purpose.The attributes of the holy icons remain in relationship with our liturgical praying where their presence is the confirmation of the possibility of our salvation.
