SERMON AT THE HOLY MATRIMONY

Summary/Abstract: The family based on matrimony was the first social institution which God created in Heaven. It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him. (Genesis 2:1). The union in matrimony begins in the woman’s originating from Adam’s rib. Hate divides, love unites souls, as well as bodies. The sacrament of wedding or matrimony is the Holy Sacrament by which a man and a woman have willingly decided to live together for their entire lives, for the purpose of helping each other, give birth to children and keep away from indulgence and who, via the priest’s prayers, receive the unseen holy gift.
