Summary/Abstract: In this research, the philosophy and the objectives of the Village Institute Curriculum have been studied linguistically and the findings are discussed on the basis of the principles of the curriculum development and evaluation. In order to examine the collocational, grammatical, semantic, discourse features and the N-grams of the most frequently used words in the texts that present the Village Institutes and provide information about the instructional program, a specialized corpus has been composed. First, the most used ten words, which are extracted from the corpus via a concordance program with the aim of observing the features of the Village Institute Curriculum, have been studied within the frame of their concordance lines and word patterns. Second, the N-grams of the most frequently occurred words are analyzed. In this respect, this research is a corpus-based discourse study.
