Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the access to the information via Open Data and Open Access in the Czech and EU legal systems. The European and national granting schemes, that are financed by public resources (EU and national budgets), push beneficiaries to publish research results to general public. This is legitimate request of the funding agencies nevertheless it is often in the collision with the public aid rules, trade secrets and other spheres of scientific life.
