Summary/Abstract: Fiuk refers to the political transformation of 1989 and 1990 in Germany and looks at it through the prism of the film image of Berlin, both in chronological order (period before, during and after transformation), as well as aesthetic and creative aspect (personal style of authors, their affiliation, origin). Among the many films devoted to Berlin, she selects four, which – in her opinion – clearly and in an interesting way reflect the atmosphere accompanying the transformation, its course or consequences, and testify to the specific and diverse character of the city, which is the place of action, and the changes that have occurred in it since the Cold War period to this day, including changes in its media image. The productions to which the author refers are: „Coming out” (1989, dir. Heiner Carow), „Wings of Desire” (Der Himmel über Berlin, 1987, dir. Wim Wenders), ”Good bye, Lenin!” (2003, dir. Wolfgang Becker) and „Oh, Boy!” (2012, dir. Jan-Ole Gerster).
