Summary/Abstract: The article raises the issue of the impact of mass media on distance education. Communicationis a key element of the educational process. It is particularly important in distanceeducation.The authors analyzed books, radio and television, as well as the Internet as a means ofmass communication, and showed the impact, of the changes taking place, on the developmentof distance education.The authors indicate how changing the forms of mass communication has influencedchanges in the way and effectiveness of education. Special importance is attributed to thefeedback communication that enabled the emergence of the Internet.
