Summary/Abstract: Drawing from the unexpectedly reach arsenal of the ancient times propaganda knowledge and art, the author in this paper deals with Isoerat and his rhetoric school. The significance of Isokrat for development of propaganda is not of a conceptual nature: he has not left such a deep trace in the history of propaganda like sophists - the ancient forerunners of the modern political marketing, or like Plato whose works contain many elements of the concept of total propaganda.
