Summary/Abstract: Whether they realize it or not, translators are in fact hermeneutists, in the sense that before they proceed with the actual translation they interpret the source text in a manner deeply conditioned by their own personality. The more minute and through this preliminary and ever present operation, the better the translation, and readers will be less aware of the fact that they are actually dealing with a translated text.
