Types of transactions between family assistants and clients

Summary/Abstract: The main task of a family assistant is to support the family in realizing the care and educational function and to help in improving the standard of living, so that the family educational environment would support the proper development of children. This is often related to searching for solutions to difficult life situations and motivating for constructive changes. A family assistant should conduct a dialogue with the client in such a way as to create a relationship of cooperation and willingness to act for the benefit of the home and family. The aim of this article is to determine what type of transactions occur between family assistants and clients. The ego-state model has been used to analyze transactional sequences in the article.
