Socio-economic development of rural areas in the border region of the voivodship of Warmia-Mazury

Summary/Abstract: Rural areas are highly diverse in terms of socio-economic development and the gap between better-developed and poorly-developed areas is increasing. This problem mainly affects peripheral areas which are relatively less-developed and show less growth. This paper identifies the existing potential of socio-economic development of rural municipalities located in the border region of the voivodship and determines their level of development.
