Summary/Abstract: In the mediaeval texts there is one that talks about the world and how the mediaeval Serbs viewed their status in it. The first part of the text provides an answer to a question of the origin of the earthly kingdom, the origin of the nation and what was at that time understanding of which nation was of orthodox beliefs, semi-orthodox or nonbelievers. The texts also talks about the damned nations, although without specifying who might that be. It also states what books are the orthodox ones. Then it says what the Apostolic Thrones or Patriarchates, states attributes of certain apostles are, the great nine ones, the two lesser ones and St Paul the Apostle. All the stated details point to an impact of Christianity on how the mediaeval Serbs viewed other nations and countries. The last part makes a parallel, a link between some nations known to them with animals. The animals that ate mentioned are not only those appearing in the Slavic mythology, those living in Europe, but there is also a lion, a zebra, a leopard, those that are not native to Europe. This indicates that the manuscript could not have originated in a Slavic – Serbian environment. The study, however, shows that the Serbs adapted it to themselves.
