Summary/Abstract: This article will try to solve ”the mystery” of the electoral and political success of the Save Romania Union. 2016 local and parliamentary elections have favored entering the Romanian party system to a new species of political party, with civic germ, a reaction to the parties that have managed transition. SRU’s anti-system, anti-party, anti-politics discourse has been favorably perceived by a part of the electorate as a result of drastically collapse of the confidence in political parties and Parliament on the background of an unprecedented anti-corruption campaign in recent years in Europe.
