Axiological conditions for child upbringing

Summary/Abstract: This article presents the issue of conditions of values-oriented upbringings. At the beginning the process of values-oriented upbringing. Talking about values-oriented upbringing one should pay attention to the role played by various educational environments. The most critical place, where a child’s hierarchy of values is shaped, is their family. It is followed by the school environment, which influences child’s values in an intentional and purposeful manner. A teacher sending to children specific messages in a school introduces them at the same time to the world of values. A peer group also plays an essential role in shaping the values of a young person. Currently, one of important elements shaping the system of values is mass media.
