Summary/Abstract: The article reviews the possible objects included in the treasure, the regulation of this legal institute in ancient Rome, and the possibility of application of Roman Law in comparison with Art. 351 of the Spanish Civil Code in relation to the at-tribution of scientific discoveries and art production to the treasures.
