Summary/Abstract: In this study, firstly, the topic of social avoidance and social anxiety are discussed. Secondly, the type of change that social avoidance and social anxiety levels of the 232 blue-collar employees, working in an enterprise, in the textile sector in relation to the demographic characteristics is discussed. The main aim of this study is to determine the demographic characteristics that differantiate the social anxiety and social avoidance. In this context, one-way Anova, t-Test, frequency analysis and reliability analysis were carried out by using SPSS 15 programme. Ultimately, Social avoidance and social anxiety differ as regards income level, place of growth, educational status of father, years of employment and educational status.
