Summary/Abstract: Prince Sabahaddin (1879-1948) is one of the intellectuals of the period who tried to find answers to the question “How can the state be saved?" from different perspectives. The sociologist identity of Prince Sabahaddin, who is also one of the leading figures of the Young Turks movement, had an important influence on his thoughts and suggestions for solutions. Inspired by the ideas of Edmond Demolins, a member of Le Play School, Prince Sabahaddin has put forward theories and proposals for radical change in order to revive the Ottoman Empire. The concepts that he raised for the first time, set the stage for serious discussions in those years. Prince Sabahaddin, one of the first figures to express the idea of liberalism in the Ottoman Empire, points out that the solution of the problems requires a transformation in the administrative structure of the Ottoman empire that puts the individual in focus. In this context, Prince Sabahaddin, who espoused the idea that there should be a decentralization system in the Ottoman state administration, drew also attention to the importance of opening the way for free enterprise. Prince Sabahaddin, who was also criticized the current education system, proposed an individualistic education system, family and management model, that would provide an environment for the development of personal abilities. Prince Sabahaddin is discussed even today as an intellectual, politician and innovator whose opinions are sometimes not understood or misunderstood, and therefore he has faced serious criticism.
