Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the edition of the statutes of the chapters of Vilnius and Samogitia authored by Wioletta Pawlikowska-Butterwick and Liudas Jovaiša. The presentation is preceded by a description of the history of both dioceses and remarks on the role of statutes as the source of the particular law of both chapters. Some space was devoted to the authors of the statutes and related issues. The editorial basis and the critical apparatus were discussed. Finally, attention was drawn to the illustrations accompanying the edition.
