Summary/Abstract: In this paper we consider the influence that the entertainment-donor manifestation called World Witches Congress held in Veliko Gradiste in fall 2009, if continued, would have on national identity of Serbia. We look into the relation between World Witches Congress and folklore of eastern Serbia when it comes to witches, regarding a concept where national identity is equal to cultural identity of a country.
