VISUAL SOCIOLOGY – POSSIBLE DIRECTIONS OF FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIOLOGY IN SERBIA

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this work is to draw attention to a specific sociological (sub)discipline, visual sociology, and try to position it on domestic sociological map. The visual sociology approach to social reality seems appropriate given the fact that the current Serbian society (as indeed also global) is occupied and saturated with visual contents, which therefore creates the need to introduce more specific sociological approaches.
