Summary/Abstract: The research reveals the ideas of Bulgarian and foreign educators reformers on child discipline in educational institutions presented in the journal “Svobodno vaspitanie” (1922 – 1944). Their concepts on interrelationships between child’s freedom and discipline are shown. Critical attitudes of the authors towards stimulation and punishment, by which discipline is achieved, are clarified.
