Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to identify the interdependence between the constitutional revision procedures included in various constitutions and the type of political regime established in such countries. Different political regimes are usually defined by scholars based on the roles and powers attributed to various political institutions. However, in most of the cases, the analysis of the constitutional revision procedure proves more relevant to defining a political regime, as it does not only determine who has more power, but rather who is in the position to distribute power between various institutional players in the future. In order to prove the thesis, I will analyze constitutional revision procedures specific to regimes generally accepted as presidential, parliamentary and semi-presidential. Furthermore, I will prove that the failure to reflect the intended distribution of powers in the constitutional revision procedure leads to the instability of the political regime and, finally, to its change, be it peaceful or not.
