Summary/Abstract: Today, as one of the basic requirements in the process of reforming our school system is a need of democratization, ie. transposition of democratic principles and values in the process of education. In accordance with a pluralistic orientation in education which emphasizes the training needs of young people to develop their own individuality and specificity, taking into account the individuality of others, it is necessary to develop the idea of multiculturalism and multiperspectivity in all aspects of educational activities in schools. The paper analyzes some dimensions of the school context: school climate, curriculum, instruction, role of teachers, textbooks, trying to point out the opportunities which the school context provides for the development of multiculturalism.
