Visual elements as steady components of modern texts

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to discuss the role of visual elements in popular science texts. Closely connected to this issue is the question of the definition of text which – as it seems – could not yet be solved in a complete and satisfying way for everyone (and probably it does not need to be solved, as each scientific research perspective-justifiably – has its own understanding of this phenomenon). The analytical base for the empirical research undertaken here, consists of 45 popular science texts taken from magazines, inwhich biology and related disciplines are a topic of discussion.
