Challenges of a specialized translation. Kritik des Interventionismus, by Ludwig von Mises, translated in English and Romanian

Summary/Abstract: This paper is a result of the translation from German into Romanian of the collection of essays Kritik des Interventionismus, signed by the Austrian economist Ludwig von Mises. Therefore, the article intends to analyze not only the morphological and syntactic particularities of the German text, but also the difficulties and challenges of the Romanian translation. This analysis is also based on an English translation, that in our opinion was done under ideal circumstances, which are to be explained further in the article. To what extent could one still refer to the idea of “fidelity”, even though we deal with a specialized translation, is an essential aspect this article intends to focus upon.
