ELIMINATION OF GENDER WAGE GAP IN STEM AS A KEY TASK OF ERADICATION OF GENDER INEQUALITY IN COUNTRIES WITH DIGITAL ECONOMY

Summary/Abstract: Development of digital economy leads to changes in employment structure and labor market. Gender wage gap in high-tech professions, exclusion of women from high-paying STEM jobs will cause their loss in competition for social and material benefits and increase gender discrimination in society. The issue of gender wage gap in STEM has been in the spotlight of government and scientists in the countries with developed digital economy. This article reviews the foreign experience in dealing with the problem of gender discrimination in STEM and retention of women in STEM professions.
