Summary/Abstract: The contemporary Tunisian theatre, like the Algerian and Morrocan theatre, is a polyglot theatre. The theatre of Fadhel Jaϊbi, for example, express itself essentially in dialectal, sometimes with a sparse use of french, which places it in the middle same of modernity. Since its inception, its goal has been to practice continuous research using a new codified language in order to renew the vision of the world and influence the public through its aesthetic choices and philosophical tendencie. But what could translate this polyohony? Different spaces of representation? Different esthetics? Who uses this or that tool and why? Finally, to which linguistic tool is the preference of Tunisian creators and public goes? We propose here to reflect on the linguistic and proxemic field of Tunisian theatrical expression like on its reception by the public presenting some fairly representative experiences.
